RAYnbow Accessories was established 01 July 2019

While on maternity leave in 2018 with our third born, I had terrible anxiety at the thought of sending our 4 month old baby to Daycare.

I took  a leap of faith and decided to resign from the company I worked at for 10 years. Not knowing what was to come next, in March 2019 my husband fell ill with what we thought was a minor cough only to find out it was linked to his heart defect from birth, within no time he was hospitalised for almost 2 months straight and was diagnosed with Endocarditis.

Having 2 daughters and a baby, this was definitely a test of our faith. Our kids couldn’t understand why their Daddy wasn’t coming home and in this moment I realised why I chose to be a “stay at home mom”. Right then it became clear, should I have gone back to my 8-5 job, I would not have been able to manage hospital visits, school runs and running a household with a 7  month old baby and 2 young daughters.

Once my husband was discharged from hospital and started feeling better, we decided that we needed to start bringing in an income especially if I didn’t want to work for a boss again.

And so I decided to follow in my Mommy’s footsteps. She raised myself and 5 siblings basically on her own, selling scarves door to door and by bus as she can’t drive. However this never stopped her, even with all the tough times, she kept pushing forward… DETERMINATION I learned from her.

At RAYnbow accessories we stock a range of items, started with scarves and now selling ladies casual and Islamic wear as well as soft slightly padded salaah mats (individual and family size) and more.

I truly believe if you put your heart in what you want to do, you can make a success of it and I plan on doing that for our little family In shaa Allah. (God willing)

Meaning behind RAYnbow accessories is the initials of our 3 children the reason and inspiration behind the brand. And at RAYnbow Accessories we know…
